Clemson forward enters transfer portal, per report

According to reports, a forward for Clemson has submitted a transfer request.

It seems like another member of the Clemson men’s basketball team will be leaving the program through the transfer portal.

Jamie Shaw from On3 reports that after just two years with the program, Ben Middlebrooks has entered the portal.

Last year, Middlebrooks was a crucial third baseman behind Ian Schieffelin and PJ Hall for the Tigers. The player from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, averaged 3.1 points and 2.7 rebounds per game.

On December 30, 2022, he had a career night against NC State, scoring 10 points off the bench and grabbing seven rebounds.

Middlebrooks started four of the 26 games he appeared in as a rookie in 2021-22.

After Morehead State eliminated the Tigers from the NCAA Tournament in the NIT’s first round, Clemson’s three-star recruit has joined fellow freshman guard Chauncey Gibson in the doorway.

In light of this news, it’s probable that Tigers head coach Brad Brownell and the company will be even more active on the transfer portal in search of replacements for Hunter Tyson and Brevin Galloway.
