We are already at the end of July, which indicates that the first game of the regular college football season will take place in a little over a month. The actual games have been going on for an incredibly long time.
Keeping this in mind, we know that the preseason top 25s from the Coaches Poll and the Associated Press Top 25 surveys will be released shortly. How will their positions appear in the rankings?
We compared how four major sites covering college football rated teams thus far in the preseason and compared their findings. We compiled a composite score to determine what the preseason top-25s would look like using a reasonably complex algorithm (25 points for No. 1, 24 points for No. 2, and so on) in each poll. This allowed us to forecast what the top-25s would look like.
It is reasonable to believe that Georgia will finish first, but who else will round out the top five?
Top 10?
After finishing with a record of 9-4 the previous season, would Notre Dame have a chance to compete there?
