DJ Moore’s agent credits Bears GM Ryan Poles for being ‘smart’ during trade negotiations

The biggest thing the Bears did in the summer was trade the No. 1 pick to the Panthers for two first-round picks, two second-round picks, and wide receiver DJ Moore.

Moore was the biggest summer signing for Chicago. He gives QB Justin Fields a true No. 1 receiver, which should help get the passing game going for the Bears.

Moore was a must-have for general manager Ryan Poles during trade talks, which has been made clear, and Moore’s lawyer, Drew Rosenhaus, has also confirmed this.

Rosenhaus talked about the deal on the Pat McAfee Show. He made it clear that the Panthers didn’t want to sell Moore, but that the Poles basically made them do it.

Rosenhaus said, “The Panthers had no desire to trade DJ, but the Bears were smart.” “They knew that the Panthers wanted to draught a quarterback, and they were adamant about getting DJ as part of that deal. They also got Justin Fields, a No. 1 wide receiver.”
