LSU offers 4-star safety from DeSoto, Texas

The LSU coaching staff has been to DeSoto, Texas to check out a four-star safety in their quest to find the next great Tiger defensive back.

Originally from East Saint Louis, Illinois, 6-foot-190-pound prospect Sael Reyes is moving to DeSoto, Texas to play for the DeSoto Eagles, the No. 21 high school football team in the country.

Antonio Johnson, a former Texas A&M defensive back, was chosen by the Jacksonville Jaguars with the 160th overall choice in the 2023 NFL Draft.

The Eagles ended the 2022 campaign with a 14-2 record and the 6A D2 state title. Their two defeats came at the hands of St. Frances Academy and Duncanville, two other nationally rated teams.

According to On3, Missouri is presently the 28% favorite to sign Reyes.

Reyes led East Saint Louis with 63 tackles and five interceptions last season.
