The Oklahoma Sooners’ offseason has generally been seen as a successful one.

A defense that was among the worst in college football a year ago should improve because of the defensive additions they acquired.

In 2023, Oklahoma ought to do better than 6-7. Nobody knows how much better it will become.

The Sooners won’t be one of the teams playing for the Big 12 championship in 2023, but USA TODAY Sports Erick Smith is still deciding whether to rule them out.
