15 Georgia players make Phil Steele's All-SEC teams

The Georgia Bulldogs are expected to open the 2023 college football season as the nation’s No. 1 ranked team. Fresh off of back-to-back national championships,

FanDuel lists Georgia’s odds to win it all this year at +220, the best in the nation.

 For a better understanding on the level of talent at UGA this fall,

look no further than Phil Steele’s Preseason All-SEC teams.

 Georgia placed 15 players across Steele’s first, second, third and fourth team.

 That’s the most in the conference, with Alabama in second with 12 players.

First Team (7): TE Brock Bowers C Sedrick Van Pran OL Tate Ratledge LB Jamon Dumas-Johnson S Javon Bullard S Malaki Starks DE Mykel Williams

Second Team (3): WR Ladd McConkey LB Smael Mondon DB Tykee Smith

Third team (4): RB Kendall Milton OT Amarius Mims OL Xavier Truss DB Daylen Everette

Fourth team (1): DL Nazir Stackhouse

The most notable player left off of the teams is Georgia wide receiver Dominic Lovett,

a Missouri transfer who led the Tigers in receiving last season with 56 catches for 846 yards and three touchdowns as a sophomore.

Georgia also had 7 players make Steele’s Preseason All-America teams.

 Again, that’s the most in the nation, with Alabama and Ohio State tied for second with six players each.
