Tyreek Hill, known for his blazing speed on the football field, showcased his sprinting talents in a different arena earlier this year
when he won the 60m race at the USA Track and Field Indoor Championships.
Interestingly, back in 2020, Hill was spotted practicing his sprinting abilities with none other than former NFL star Terrell Owens.
In a surprising turn of events, the 46-year-old Terrell Owens took on the challenge to race Tyreek Hill, one of the fastest players in the NFL, for a friendly wager of $1,000.
While most people expected Hill to easily outpace Owens due to his youth and professional sprinting background, the race turned out to be a jaw-dropper.
Owens displayed astonishing athleticism, giving Hill a run for his money and keeping the race surprisingly close.
Terrell Owens’ Surprising Race Against Tyreek Hill: A Display of Age-Defying Speed : In a remarkable showdown, 46-year-old Terrell Owens took on the challenge to race Tyreek Hill,
one of the NFL’s fastest players, in a friendly $1,000 wager. Despite being out of the league for nearly a decade, Owens proved that he still had some serious speed in him.
The first race, covering 100 yards, saw Hill giving Owens a 10-yard head start. Astonishingly, Owens managed to hold on for the win,
stunning everyone watching. But it was in the second race, covering 40 yards, that the real surprise happened.
In a video of the race, Hill’s trainer reported that Tyreek ran a 4.37, while Owens’ hand-timed finish was clocked between 4.40 and 4.42 seconds.
Although Hill emerged victorious, the fact that Owens kept it that close was jaw-dropping.
Hill himself was taken aback, complimenting the Hall of Famer on Twitter, “I will say TO is faster than some of these wideouts in the league, but y’all ain’t ready for that discussion.”
