Alabama jumped by Clemson in latest AP Top-25 Poll

Alabama shut out FCS opponent Austin Peay at home in the penultimate game of the 2022 college football regular season.

With one contest left, the Iron Bowl in Tuscaloosa, the Crimson Tide has one last shot to strengthen its resume.

Amid close games, upsets and a blowout in Columbia, South Carolina,

not much changed inside the top 10 of the latest AP top-25 poll.

Clemson handled Miami, USC held off UCLA and Oregon took down Utah.

Those were the only three teams to see positive movement from the top 10 teams in the country.

Tennessee dropped four spots to No. 9 after losing to the Gamecocks 63-38.

Alabama’s playoff chances improved after this week’s confusing slate, but it’s still a long shot.

The Crimson Tide stays put at No. 8, while Clemson jumps from No. 9 to No. 7. USC also moves up a couple of spots to No. 5
