Clemson TE will give the NFL a shot after Orange Bowl

Clemson tight end Davis Allen is going to the pros.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday ahead of the Orange Bowl against Tennessee,

Allen confirmed that he will be leaving Clemson and turning his attention to the NFL after Friday’s game.

“I want to give the NFL a shot,” Allen said. “I want to train and do pro day and all of that.

I feel like I would regret it if I didn’t give it a shot and see where that goes. That’s the plan for right now.”

Allen has played a pivotal role in the Tigers’ offense this season,

recording 35 receptions for 394 yards and five touchdowns while also making a name for himself as a blocker.

Even with only one game remaining this year, the tight end’s attention hasn’t shifted to NFL preparation yet.
