Box Score Breakdown: Clemson's stat leaders in historic win over Syracuse

No. 5 Clemson remains undefeated after a thrilling win over Syracuse that came down to the wire in the fourth quarter on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.

With the victory, Clemson becomes the first team in ACC history to reach 38-straight wins at home, surpassing Florida State who has held the record of 37-straight since 2001.

In the Tigers 27-21 win over the Orange, quarterback Cade Klubnik was brought in to relieve a struggling D.J. Uiagalelei late in the third quarter.

The true freshman put on an impressive performance,

completing two-for-four passes (50%) for 18 yards at the helm for the Tigers along with two-straight scoring drives in his first two drive appearances for the winning lead.

Running back Will Shipley had himself a day, sitting atop Clemson’s running back core with 27 carries for 172 yards and two touchdowns.
