College football recruiting: Top 2024 player Dylan Raiola cancels Georgia visit, per report

Dylan Raiola, the consensus No. 1 player in the 2024 college football recruiting rankings, appears to have changed his near future plans and they don't seem to involve Georgia.

The quarterback cancelled his visit to the Bulldogs this spring after it was previously expected he would be on site in Athens,

according to On3 Sports recruiting insider Chad Simmons.

That move is in line with the rumors that Raiola is currently leaning more towards Nebraska, where he will be taking an unofficial visit in late March.

since the hiring of new football coach Matt Rhule and represents a major opportunity for the school.

Raiola was an Ohio State pledge Initially, the quarterback announced he had committed to Ohio State ,

as the most high-profile get for the Buckeyes' 2024 recruiting class.

And he'll certainly be welcomed by a familiar face once he gets there: Raiola's uncle Donovan is Nebraska's current offensive line coach.
