Conference championships are in the books and the next stop is the College Football Playoff,

which will take place on New Year’s Eve.

which will take place on New Year’s Eve.

Entering Selection Sunday, ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit ranked his top-six teams,

showing which four will make the CFP and which two will be on the outside looking in.

It was an exciting weekend, starting with Utah’s big win over USC in Pac-12 championship.

In the Big 12, TCU fell to Kansas State in overtime, but the Horned Frogs played as hard as any team you’ll ever see in a losing effort.

Down in Atlanta, Georgia moved to 13-0 with a win over LSU.

Clemson took care of UNC in Charlotte.

And in the Big Ten, Michigan remained perfect with a win over Purdue.

The TCU and USC losses are sure to make things interesting on Sunday when the CFP committee’s rankings are released at noon ET on ESPN.

Those losses open the door for Ohio State and possibly even Alabama.

We know the Buckeyes (11-1) will be in, taking USC’s place. But where?

Here’s Kirk Herbstreit’s top-six, with each team’s national title odds courtesy of BetMGM.
