It’s the first day of fall camp practice, and with that, Michigan football is commemorating it with the release of its 2023 roster.
Oddly, there’s a lot fans can glean from roster updates, including new names,
names that have disappeared (though there are few this year, and no surprises), number changes, position switches, weight lost, and weight gained.
WolverinesWire scoured the entire roster comparing it to the 2022 edition and noted several changes, interesting notes,
the numbers of the freshmen, as well as the transfers, the biggest gainers, the biggest weight losers, and much more.
Here is everything you need to know about Michigan football’s 2023 roster update.
Biggest weight gains The biggest gainer is a preferred walk-on EDGE, Chibi Anwunah, followed by another walk-on EDGE, Joseph Klunder.
Most weight lost Not everyone gained weight, a few players trimmed down.
