On Monday, we learned he was heading to Charlotte where Biff Poggi is the new head coach.
Poggi, Michigan’s associate head coach last season, was Okie’s head coach in high school.
Former Michigan and Alabama EDGE Eyabi Okie has transferred to Charlotte.
Charlotte will be his fifth school. Okie committed to play for Alabama out of high school,
transferred to Houston, then to UT Martin, found his way to Michigan, and is now off to Charlotte to play under his old ball coach.
Okie, a former five-star player for the Crimson Tide, had a good-sized role with Michigan in 2022.
He tallied 18 tackles and four sacks during his lone season in Ann Arbor.
