Former Clemson QB on the move

A former Clemson quarterback is on the move once again.

Taisun Phommachanh shared via Twitter on Monday that he would be taking his talents to UMass after spending one season with Georgia Tech.

In two game appearances this fall, Phommachanh completed 2-for-5 passes (40%)

for 13 yards while recording 15 carries for 56 yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Prior to his time with the Yellow Jackets, the dual-threat quarterback spent three seasons (2019-21) with the Tigers,

recording 24 completions for 217 yards, four interceptions ,

and one touchdown along with 45 carries for 206 yards and three trips to the end zone.

Now at UMass, Phommachanh will likely see a familiar face on the field next season when the Minutemen face their rival UConn.

The Connecticut native’s younger brother, Tyler Phommachanh, will be entering his third season with the Huskies in 2023
