It appeared that everything was going to be on the up and up for former Michigan football defensive tackle Mo Hurst,
but everything changed when he checked in for the NFL scouting combine.
A heart issue caused Hurst to drop from being a likely first-round NFL draft pick to the fifth round.
He was picked by the Oakland Raiders,
but his tenure there was short-lived.
He signed with the San Francisco 49ers, but injuries set him back.
Now, he’s getting a fresh start with another AFC team.
The Cleveland Browns replaced one former Michigan football defensive lineman,
Chase Winovich, with another, Hurst.
Winovich, a free agent, is headed to the Houston Texans.
