Green Bay Packers signed former-Rutgers wide receiver Bo Melton

On Tuesday, the Green Bay Packers announced the signing of wide receiver Bo Melton.

The former Rutgers standout will be added to the Packers’ active roster, providing additional depth.

A Day 3 pick of the Seattle Seahawks, Melton had been a part of that organization’s practice,

In the 2022 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks selected Melton (5-foot-11, 189 Ibs.) with their seventh-round pick (No. 229 overall).

While at Rutgers, Melton was selected third-team All-Big Ten by Pro Football Focus and fourth team All-Big Ten by Phil Steele’s College Football.

 Melton finished his college career ranked third in program history with 56 games played.

Melton finished his college career with 164 receptions for 2,011 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.

 During his senior season, Melton would go on to lead the team with 823 all-purpose yards (618 receiving,

116 kickoff returns, 51 rushings, 38 punt returns). He is also ranked sixth in receptions in school history.
