Hailee Steinfeld Avoided Disappointment of Not Appearing in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts By Not Expecting Bumblebee to Have a Sequel

The Transformers franchise has not always brought back the same actors, but usually the lead stars have been given the option of teaming up with the robots in disguise on more than one occasion.

It would not be unfair to believe that Bumblebee star Hailee Steinfeld may have felt this was on the cards for her character in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts,

with the latest addition to the Transformers franchise seemingly being a sequel of sorts to the previous movie.

However, despite Rise of the Beasts being set in the next decade to Bumblebee, the film focuses on a new cast, which means that Steinfeld could have possibly felt left out in the cold.

However, the Hawkeye break-out star revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that she never really sets her sights on potential sequels,

so didn’t get disappointed to not feature in this summer’s action blockbuster. She said of whether it bothered her to not be returning: “Not necessarily.

I don’t know that I knew the plans beyond that, but I like to take everything one step at a time. I’ve gotten a lot better at that in my life.

I tend to get ahead of myself, and so when it comes to these bigger projects that have whispers and more of a future and whatnot,

I like to just focus on what’s in front of me and make that the best that I can.”

Of course, they may not be the end of the road for Steinfeld in the Transformers universe, as she and her Bumblebee co-star John Cena,

could quite easily return in the next movie, which is almost guaranteed to happen considering the hype and early reviews of Rise of the Beasts.

We all know how ever studio loves a good crossover movie now.
