Michigan football was on a torrid pace in 2024 recruiting until it wasn’t.
The months of June and July saw many Wolverine leans choose to go elsewhere, and now the month of August isn’t treating the maize and blue any better.
The top target for the brass in Ann Arbor at the wide receiver position, aside from five-star Ryan Wingo who is still on the board,
has been 2024 Burley (Idaho) Senior four-star Gatlin Bair.
Billed as the fastest man in the 2024 class, Bair was also a considered a Michigan lean after his official visit in late June.
However, in the days leading up to his Aug. 5 commitment, the buzz surrounding Bair and Michigan started cooling.
The maize and blue’s worst fears were realized on Saturday when Bair decided to stay home and play for local Boise State.
