Michigan football nabs big time 2025 LB from SEC country

2024 may be on the clock, but Michigan football is getting a big, early start when it comes to 2025.

The Wolverines already have a four-star pledge from Florida in 2025 cornerback Chris Ewald in the fold,

 and while there aren’t many who are rated in the class,

the maize and blue have been working to add another top-flight prospect in 2025.

Hailing from Buford (Ga.), where former Wolverines running back Christian Turner once played

, linebacker Mantrez Walker has offers from Florida, LSU, Michigan State, Florida State,

Ohio State, Penn State, South Carolina, and Tennessee, among others. But on Saturday,

Walker chose to make an early commitment, pledging verbally to Michigan football.

Listed at 5-foot-11, 215-pounds, Walker also competes in track and field.
