Montele Johnson details latest Rutgers football offer,

Michigan linebacker Montele Johnson was offered by Rutgers football last week.

 It is part of a recruitment that is primed to get a lot busier in the coming months with a number of Power Five programs getting more involved.

A linebacker in the class of 2024, Rutgers joined Kansas and Purdue in offering Johns

Johnson is a linebacker at West Bloomfield High School (West Bloomfield, MI),

a program that finished last season with a record of 8-2.

He talked about his recent Rutgers football offer as well as his previewing his upcoming visits to Tennessee and Penn State among other stops.

“This offer happened with coach Hetherman (linebacker coach Cory Hetherman) texting me and keeping in contact with me for a couple of weeks now

. And we have been talking about trying to get me in contact with coach Schino because they are really interested,

so (last week) we got on FaceTime and had a couple of conversations about the culture and program they have to offer.
