Notre Dame spring practice preview: Eight questions Marcus Freeman will want answered

On Wednesday morning, Notre Dame will step into spring practice with a reconfigured coaching staff and a retooled roster.

It will also have a head coach ready to take last season’s lessons and apply them.

That’s the plan, at least. And there’s plenty of reason to believe Marcus Freeman’s plan can come together.

Yes, there’s only so much that can be taken away from spring practices,

that take place without an opponent or any incentive to reveal secrets to those paying close attention.

That doesn’t mean Notre Dame can’t get started on answering the questions it needs to address before ,

flying to Dublin to face Navy on Aug. 26. But the Irish have time to get there.
