Patriots WRs Nelson Agholor and DeVante Parker Fantasy Football Ranking After Jakobi Meyers Ruled Out

Are New England Patriots receivers Nelson Agholor and DeVante Parker potential fantasy football options for Week 3?

On Sunday morning, Adam Schefter reported that Jakobi Meyers — the Patriots leading receiver through two weeks of the season

— will not be available for their game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday due to a knee injury.

Given the injury news, both Agholor and Parker will have to step up to fill the void and could be potential replacement options for your fantasy football lineup.

Nelson Agholor and DeVante Parker Fantasy Football Rankings While the Patriots have struggled to get Parker involved in their offense, Agholor has emerged as a favorite target for quarterback Mac Jones.

During their win against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2, Agholor had six receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown, while Parker didn’t have one catch on the afternoon.

The biggest play of the game was when Jones connected with Agholor on a long 44-yard touchdown, where Jones gave the receiver a chance to make a play on a 50-50 ball.

“Yeah, it was kind of one of those plays where we were moving the ball and running our two-minute offense, and I have good comfortability with that,” Jones said to The Athletic.

“We’ve worked on that play throughout the season, 50-50 balls, and he’s one of those guys I put into that throw-it-up-to-him category, and he’s gonna make the plays.

So it’s one-on-one, I give him a shot, and obviously I had time with the offensive line.

“And I think all our receivers can do that. If they’re one-on-one, I’m going to give them the chance.”

Prior to the injury to Meyers, we had Agholor and Parker both ranked in near the bottom of Stokastic’s Week 3 NFL Start/Sit Fantasy Football Rankings,

and they would remain a risky play for fantasy football this week even with the injury to Meyers.

It’s probably best to wait and see who emerges in the Patriots offense before inserting any of their playmakers into lineups.
