Ohio State replaced the FieldTurf at Ohio Stadium this summer:
Ohio State began replacing its FieldTurf in Ohio Stadium June 1 and was completed in July by Cincinnati-based Motz Group and its turf manufacturing partner Shaw Sports Turf.
The turf was last upgraded before the 2014 season and was due for an upgrade after multiple players experienced footing issues early last season.
FieldTurf was first put down at Ohio Stadium in 2007, which replaced the natural grass field that was installed in 1990.
Ohio State will open the 2022 season at home Sept. 3 against Notre Dame.
