Steph Curry has to dig deep to 'troll' Patrick Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes just doesn’t have that many lowlights. Steph Curry, as the Mahomes of his own sport, should know better, but he has a golf match to promote.

Curry, Mahomes and their teammates Klay Thompson and Travis Kelce are facing off in a celebrity golf match on Thursday evening in Las Vegas.

On Wednesday night, Curry posted an Instagram video that doubles as an inadvertent tribute to Mahomes’ career.

In an attempt to lightly troll Mahomes in an Instagram video, Curry searched “Chiefs lose Super Bowl” on his TV, but settled for a random September 2021 Chiefs loss to the Chargers.

(Mahomes, you might remember, was spectacular under extreme duress in his Super Bowl loss.)

Mahomes did throw a backbreaking fourth-quarter interception in that loss to the Chargers. “Getting inspired by what I see on the TV, Pat,”

Curry said with a suspiciously booming laugh as the Chargers celebrated that pick. “Gonna be the same thing in Vegas, baby.”

Though his roast of Mahomes is questionable, Curry is notoriously an elite golfer.

He’s played in developmental-level tournaments, producing viral highlights and occasionally shooting in the low 70s.

No word yet on whether Mahomes is watching a classic Warriors road loss to the Magic for inspiration to pull off the upset.
