Two Tigers go in first round in latest CBS Sports mock draft

Several former Clemson players could hear their names called in the first round of the NFL draft in 2023.

Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports just put out a new mock draft, and in it, he has both Myles Murphy and Byran Bresee going in the first round.

Wilson said the following about Murphy, whom he thinks will go to the Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 19:

Murphy turned 21 in early January, and even though we'd like to see him play more consistently,

we know that his best football is still ahead of him. He has all the physical traits of an elite edge defender,

and it's easy to see him becoming the best in a few years. And that's a big part of why he's such an interesting candidate.

Murphy had a great season in 2022. At the end of the year, he had 40 tackles, 6.5 sacks, and one forced fumble

. The former five-star recruit had 115 tackles, 17.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, and five passes defended by the end of his career.

Even though Bresee's tape wasn't very good in 1922, he was sick for most of the season and had a family tragedy.

And the year before that, he hurt his ACL. Bresee is a special talent whose best football is still ahead of him when he's healthy and focused.
