WATCH: Ryan Day reacts to being selected to the College Football Playoff

There’s nobody that believes he has a second lease on life more than Ohio State head coach Ryan Day.

He faced substantial criticism after the Buckeyes squandered chances late in the game against Michigan just over a week ago.

Fans, media members and players left that game thinking that was it for all of the goals OSU had on the table.

USC losing to Utah in the Pac-12 Championship game put Ohio State back in the College Football Playoff as the No. 4 team.

Now the ultimate goal of winning a national title is back on the table.

It’s been a dizzying week and shocking last 48 hours for all to come to grips with more highs and lows than a water park tide pool.

But, there’s now plenty to play for, and Ryan Day met with the local media in Columbus to discuss it all.
