ESPN predicts Las Vegas Raiders to re-sign RB Josh Jacobs

Former Alabama running back Josh Jacobs has been with the Las Vegas Raiders ,

since the franchise selected him No. 24 overall in the 2019 NFL draft. He is set to be a free agent for the first time in his career.

Prior to the 2022 NFL regular season beginning, it was announced that the raiders would not be picking up Jacobs’ fifth-year option.

Well, now the front office is tasked with trying to re-sign Jacobs after he had a career season.

Other teams will surely attempt to bring him in.

In 2022, Jacobs led the league in total rush yards with 1,653 and in yards per game with 97.2.

“It will be an offseason of change in Las Vegas, but retaining Jacobs should be near the top of the to-do list.

While running back is mainly a replaceable position, Jacobs is elite and means a lot to the program.

He was named a team captain late in the season when the incumbent captains requested it.

That speaks volumes. It might be a deal worth $14 million or so per year after Jacobs led the league in rushing with 1,653 yards.”
