According to Chris Hummer of 247Sports, Alabama tight end Elijah Brown has submitted his name into the transfer portal.

Brown signed on with Alabama as a member of the recruiting class of 2022. He was a four-star tight-end recruit from Dayton, Ohio.

Brown received a redshirt and played in Tuscaloosa for one season. He will, therefore, still be eligible for four more years.

Considering Alabama’s depth at tight end, his departure doesn’t hurt. Six tight ends are still available on a scholarship for the Tide’s 2019 season. That includes Ty Lockwood, Amari Niblack, Miles Kitselman, Robbie Ouzts, CJ Dippre, and Danny Lewis.

Roll Tide Wire will continue to follow the Alabama football program as well as its involvement in the transfer portal.
