The preseason USA TODAY Coaches Top 25 Poll has the University of Notre Dame again within striking distance of the top spot.
As the next season approaches, many people are starting to speculate about how powerful the Irish will be in it.
The coaches ranked Notre Dame as the 13th-best team in the country, only a few spots below three of the teams that Notre Dame is slated to face during the current season.
These three schools are listed as follows: Ohio State is ranked fourth, USC is ranked sixth, and Clemson is ranked ninth.
Even while these rankings won’t precisely reflect the Irish’s performance against the teams listed above, they may provide some insight into how difficult the competition will be this season.
